[He does look at the lifestream, look at the souls, look at the world around them just taking it in with wide eyes and silent awe.
He really doesn't know how long he sits in quiet appreciation, before he puts a hand over his eyes as he realizes they've begun to ache from being kept open.]
Apologies for not showing you earlier. Sometimes I truly forget how unlimited the powers of the dreaming are. Somehow even more vast than those we were born with.
Ah, but I will survive it, troublesome as it is. But you are correct, this is another reason why I retreat here as often as I do. Calm and comfort. A way to ease the mind. Even if the memories are sometimes to painful to recount.
[Taking one of Lahabrea's hands and just barely mixing their aether again.]
[It's a soft acknowledging noise. Watching that with renewed interest, now that he can see it and not just feel. It's fascinating, and honestly beautiful.]

Beautiful. I begin to understand.

Re: DAY 243 - Night
I hadn't even imagined to use it this way. This really is.... Quite the power, even if it is all a dream.
Re: DAY 243 - Night
Now you can understand why I bemoan it so.
Re: DAY 243 - Night
I can. I will hate to not see this, when we wake.
Tell me about our souls.
Re: DAY 243 - Night
[Being obtuse on purpose.]
Re: DAY 243 - Night
Is this what tempering looks like, then?
Re: DAY 243 - Night
Though now I wonder what you were expecting.
Re: DAY 243 - Night
[He lifts his hand, curiously inspecting it.]
Everything you see... It truly must seem like blindness, not having this.

Re: DAY 243 - Night
[But then, when isn't Emet-Selch sentimental. Still, bringing up his old friends, he must be.]
Re: DAY 243 - Night
[He leans his head on his shoulder again and closes his eyes. He drapes his own aether over Lahabrea like a shawl, a feather-like weight.]
Re: DAY 243 - Night
Maybe you're rubbing off on me. After all this time that might be inevitable.
Re: DAY 243 - Night
And hopeful. 'Tis a reason why you toil as you do.
Re: DAY 243 - Night
[Grumble.]
But I do hope. For all my fears they cannot outweigh that. We may stumble on the path at times but here you are to pull me up, as I for you.
Re: DAY 243 - Night
[Nudging him to lie down.]
Now, you said you were going to rest. That does not mean studying all night.
Re: DAY 243 - Night
[He won't deny it!]
But that is nothing new. Fine, I will rest. You as well, enjoy the peace.
Re: DAY 243 - Night
[Changing the bench into a material that has more give and procuring a blanket out of nothingness for him.]
